Turmeric Golden Paste Recipe
The Doggytread dogs, Chico and Gidget, used Turmeric Golden Paste as a component of the “Doggytread Protocol” to control their hip inflammation and arthritis during the last several years of their lives.
Turmeric powder is available in most grocery store bulk food sections and is an inexpensive supplement that is good for all mammals, large and small.
1/2 C. Turmeric Powder
1/3 C. Coconut Oil
1-2 T. Black Pepper
1 C. Water
Silicon Mini Ice Cube Tray (optional)
Cast iron skillet
Add turmeric, coconut oil and water to the pan.
Reduce over medium-low heat until it begins to thicken.
Add 1-2 T. of black pepper.
Continue reducing until the paste is a consistency you like.
Use a spatula to pack the Golden Paste into the ice cube trays.
Freeze the ice cube trays to make individual turmeric servings. Chico and Gidget were each consuming 12 mini-cubes per day and would eat them right off the plate, as is.
